Guide

Documents and projects.

Make memos, pages, sheets, decks and diagrams with the agent, keep every version, and export what you need to share.

Projects

Documents live in a project.

Start a project

  • A connected workspace: a folder the agent can write to. See Getting started.
  1. Under Projects in the rail, choose the + button (New project).
  2. Give it a name and, if you like, an icon. The project’s folder is named after it, and renaming the project later never moves the folder.
  3. Choose Create project.

Or just ask for a document

Ask the agent for a document while no project is open and it asks where the document should go: a new project it names, one of your existing projects, or not now. It can then ask whether to bring the conversation into the project too. Nothing is created until you answer, and a project made this way opens on its own.

What is in a project

Open a project and the rail shows its contents; All projects takes you back.

Files
The documents you and the agent make. Each shows its version, and a changed mark when it was edited while you were looking at something else.
Sources
Files you added: uploads, PDFs, Word and Excel files, images.
Context
The instruction files the agent reads, such as AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md.

Files

Six kinds of file.

New file

The + next to Files makes a new file of one of these kinds.

Document
Markdown text.
Page
An HTML page.
Spreadsheet
Sheets of rows and columns.
Deck
Slides.
Diagram
A Mermaid diagram.
Link
A saved web address.

Adding your own files

Drop a file into the chat while a project is open and it is saved into the project’s uploads, renamed if the name is taken. Text files are versioned like any other document. Images are the exception: they stay attachments to that one message.

Working on it

The agent writes, you review.

Work on it with the agent

With a project open, the agent knows the project’s folder and which document is on screen, and every change it makes there is saved as a new version. Only the document on screen is sent to the model; the other files in the project are not.

The document opens in a panel beside the chat (a sheet from the bottom on a phone). Preview shows it rendered; Source lets you edit it yourself, with Save and Done. If the agent changes the document while you are editing it, you choose Keep mine or Discard.

Versions and changes

The strip under a document lists its versions, each marked Created, Saved or Restored. Pick one to view it, then Restore it or go Back to current. Changes shows what a version changed.

Images

Image generation is offered in the composer while a project is open, and the images it makes are saved into the project.

Delete and export

Nothing is lost by accident.

Delete and restore

Deleting a file shows Undo for 8 seconds. After that it moves to the Deleted section of the project, where Restore brings it back.

Delete permanently, in that section, asks once more and cannot be undone.

Export

Export, in the panel’s header, saves a file in a format other tools open. It runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Page
PDF, HTML or DOCX. PDF opens your browser’s print dialog.
Spreadsheet
XLSX.
Deck
PPTX.
Image
PNG.

Documents, diagrams and links have no export.

Try it on your own folder.

The app carries the short versions of these guides, so you can follow one with the thing it describes in front of you.

Free, and you bring your own model key.
